Welcome to Miami Newborn Pictures. We combine the skill, passion, and expertise to create special images of your little one. We understand that these first few weeks pass super fast, and our mission is to preserve them in beautiful and timeless photographs.
The best time for newborn photography is typically within the first two weeks after birth. This is a time of profound change and growth, and these early days provide unique opportunities to capture images that are truly special. During this phase, newborns spend most of their time sleeping, and their sleep is deeper and less easily disturbed than at any other time in their life. This allows photographers to position them gently in a variety of adorable poses without causing discomfort or distress.
We recommend booking your newborn photography session while you’re still pregnant, ideally in your second or third trimester. This gives us plenty of time to meet, discuss your expectations for the session, and ensure I have availability around your due date.
Since babies have their own timing, the exact date of the session might need to be adjusted. The best time for newborn photos is typically within the first two weeks after birth, so I always leave some flexibility in my schedule around your due date to accommodate early or late arrivals.
Once your baby arrives, please contact me as soon as you can to arrange the exact date and time for our session.
Newborn photography sessions typically last between 2 to 3 hours but allocate up to 4 hours. This might seem like a long time, but it’s important to allow plenty of time for feeding, changing, and soothing the baby to ensure they are comfortable and content. It also allows us to take our time in positioning the baby into adorable poses and capturing a variety of images. Remember, newborn sessions are not rushed and are always led by the baby’s needs and pace.
Feeding Supplies: If you’re bottle-feeding, bring extra bottles of milk or formula. If you’re breastfeeding, you might want to bring a nursing pillow for comfort.
Extra Diapers and Wipes: Even though we’ll be prepared with these, it never hurts to have extras.
Pacifier: If your baby uses a pacifier, it can be helpful in soothing them during the session.
